Wind Farm Expansion Project

Holocene was tasked with drilling 180+ holes in the hills overlooking Kennewick WA as part of a wind farm expansion project. Access was challenging due to the rough terrain requiring a combination of both track and truck mounted rigs.  The work involved drilling in the overlying glacial silt down to basalt bedrock.  NQ coring was employed to get rock confirmation cores.  The job was compounded with very hot and windy conditions.
