Geotechnical Support

Holocene Drilling mud rotary drilled 8 soil borings up to 140’.  Job was done with two rigs at night under restrictive work hour restrictions and complex traffic control.  Several holes were drilled over water through the bridge deck and into the underlying sediments utilizing conductor casing to 40’.  On land holes were pre-cleared for utilities using Holocene’s vac trucks. This job required complicated coordination between Seattle Department of Transportation, concrete corers, traffic control and Golder Associates to log the holes.  Job was completed on time within a Department of Ecology fish window.
